JAKE HOWER
CEO
Jake was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado but moved to California to play baseball in college. After attending American River in Sacramento, where he was an All American, Jake was recruited to play at Fresno State from 2006-2008. In 2008 he was a senior on the Fresno State National Championship Team where the Wonderdogs captured Fresno States first men’s championship. During his time at Fresno State Jake earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and graduated Cum Laude. In 2010, Jake joined Simon Company, Inc., located in Hanford California, where he tutored under Tim Simon, MAI, as an appraisal trainee. Jake earned his Certified General three years later and his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2018. In 2020 he went on to earn the International Right of Way Designation, R/W-AC. Jake is the president of J. Hower & Associates and lives in Hanford, CA with his pit bulls Petey and Edwin. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing.
JEREMY HANSEN
APPRASIER
Jeremy is a Hanford native that has been in the appraisal industry for over 20 years. After graduating from Fresno State, Jeremy worked in agriculture, gaining widespread knowledge and understanding of water infrastructure in the Central Valley. He has appraised thousands of agricultural and commercial properties throughout his career. Jeremy has two children and enjoys cycling and golf.
MARK MYERS
APPRASIER
Mark grew up in the small town of Franklin, Pennsylvania, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduating high school. During his nine years in the Navy, Mark traveled to 13 countries including deployments to the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan. While at Naval Air Station Lemoore, Mark earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Brandman University. In 2018, he joined Simon & Hower appraisal company in Hanford, California and now holds a Certified General appraisal license from the State of California. His appraisal experience includes various commercial, industrial, multi-family, subdivision, self-storage, and agricultural properties throughout the Central Valley. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, traveling, and driving his 1967 Mustang.
CHRISTINE SHEPERD
OFFICE MANAGER
Christine manages the office and brings over 30 years of administrative experience in customer relations, software and hardware integration, human resources, and accounting. She assists in property research, file preparation and coordinating data. Christine has been a resident of the Central Valley since she moved from San Luis Obispo in 2001. She enjoys spending time with her family and serving at her church.
